This medicine contains of two active ingredients, 400 mg of piracetam and 25 mg of cinnarizine. Piracetam belongs to a group of medicines called GABA analogues. This medicine is used to stabilize the amount of oxygen in the brain. It increases concentration of acetylcholine in the central nervous system, protects the brain from hypoxia and facilitates the transfer of information from one hemisphere to another. Cinnarizine belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamine. The problems which this medicine reduces are dizzines, sicknes, and vertigo. These symptoms are usually caused by the disorders of the inner ear which sends movement messages to the brain. Phezam is prescribed for the treatment of cerebrovascular diseases, brain injuries, inflammation and infection of central nervous system; vertigo, dizziness, nausea, vomiting; Meniere`s syndrome, cerebral infarct, vascular dementia, psychogenic disorders connected with memory, attention and concentration.
Is Phezam suitable for me?
Phezam is not suitable for everyone. Do not use it
- if you are allergic to piracetam, cinnarizine, or other ingredients of this medicine
- if you have serious kidney problems
- if you have ever experienced a brain hemorrhage
- if you have Huntington‘s Disease
In particular, you must tell the doctor if you:
- are pregnant or breastfeeding
- have kidney or liver problems
- have bleeding problems
- have a blood clotting problem
- have Parkinson’s disease
- have blood disease called porphyria
Phezam interacts with other medicines. It is most important that you tell the doctor all the medications and herbal supplements that you are currently taking.

How should I take Phezam?
This medicine is available in form of a capsule.
You should take Phezam exactly as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. The dose will be prescribed according to your condition and needs.
- The usual dose is 1 to 3 capsules taken 3 times a day.
- The usual dose for children is 1 to 2 capsules taken 1 to 2 times a day.
Do not use more of it, do not use it more often, or do not use it for a longer time than your doctor instructed. Also, this medicine works best if there is a constant amount in the blood. To help keep this amount constant, do not miss any doses and take the medicine at the same time each day. Do not take two doses together if you miss a dose.

What are Phezam side effects?
Like all medicines Phezam can cause side effects, including:
- allergic reaction
- worsening of fits
- difficulty balancing and unsteadiness
- anxiety and agitation
- dry mouth
- weight increase
- stomach pain
- nausea, vomiting
- swelling of the skin, particularly around the face
- skin rash and itching
